Play dates

This is what its all about. You only get these giggles with a girlfriend. To walk a dog with a friend, to play in someone else yard without constant supervision. To just be out of a parents sight for a minute. Trust . At 9 i had that . I'd ride my bike for hours , make a few stops along the way . Pop into a candy store and get gum and other goodies. Call on a friend . Can so and so come out and play? Gone are the days that kids go home when the street lights come on , too many creeps out "there." I wish for my kids to have that same freedom I had .To learn to trust those instincts when something doesn't feel or look right . But will they , eventually I think. But not until much later in life . Until that happens Play dates it is . It's all about their world now.
